Fiji Water Flying Fijians prop Jone Koroiduadua has reached a pivotal moment in his rugby career by signing with Major League Rugby team, the New England Free Jacks, for the 2025 season in the United States.
At only 25 years old and from Sigatoka on Fiji’s Coral Coast, Koroiduadua is already regarded as one of Fiji’s most promising young players. The Free Jacks have highlighted that his power and physicality will significantly enhance their front row, following his experience of over 20 matches with the Fijian Drua in the Super Rugby Pacific over three seasons.
Koroiduadua has also gained international experience, earning two caps for the Flying Fijians, including participation in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. He competes at the local level for Nadroga, the most successful provincial team in Fijian rugby history.
Additionally, Koroiduadua spent two years in France with Top 14 club ASM Clermont Auvergne and briefly played for the national rugby league team, the Vodafone Fiji Bati. The Free Jacks noted that he is a formidable scrummager, having been instrumental in the Fijian Drua’s scrum performance last season. His reputation as a powerful athlete, effective during collisions with or without the ball, makes him a valuable addition to the Free Jacks’ forward pack.
