Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is encouraging all Fijians to embrace the spirit of peace, kindness, and responsibility this Christmas. In his heartfelt Christmas message, Rabuka emphasized that the challenges facing the nation require a collective response characterized by empathy and unity.

Rabuka highlighted the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ as a profound reminder of compassion and service—qualities he believes are essential for Fiji during these trying times. He expressed concern about increasing issues such as illicit drug use, rising HIV cases, and negative online behavior, noting that these challenges cannot be resolved through blame but rather through cooperative effort and understanding.

The Prime Minister also called upon families and communities to uphold Fiji’s longstanding tradition of harmony amidst diverse cultures, faiths, and backgrounds. He urged individuals to extend kindness to those in need during this festive season and to remain mindful of their interactions, both face-to-face and online.

Rabuka expressed optimism that through unity, diligence, and faith, Fiji can foster a more inclusive, stronger, and prosperous future. He concluded his message by wishing all Fijians a blessed Christmas, along with a peaceful and healthy New Year, embodying a hopeful outlook for the times ahead.
