Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka departed from Fiji this morning for China, where he is set to undertake a State Visit at the invitation of Premier of the State Council, Li Qiang. In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister.
Gavoka emphasized the 49 years of diplomatic relations between Fiji and China, underlining the ongoing efforts to strengthen these ties. “We wish the Prime Minister, Mrs. Rabuka, and his delegation a safe journey and a successful visit. As Acting Prime Minister, it is essential that our government continues to provide services to the people without interruption,” Gavoka stated.
