The Fijian Parliament will convene at the end of this month to appoint the country’s President. The Business Committee has confirmed that this appointment will take place on the 31st of the month at 11 am. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is expected to nominate the incumbent President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere. According to the 2013 Constitution, a president may serve for two terms in office.
