Today, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere of Fiji welcomed a delegation from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union (FSSRU) at the State House. The members presented a traditional sevusevu and extended an invitation for the President to officiate at the FSSRU’s 85th Deans competition celebration tomorrow at the HFC Stadium.
President Katonivere warmly received the delegation and accepted the invitation, expressing his gratitude for the FSSRU’s long-standing dedication and effort in promoting rugby in primary and secondary education. He assured the members of his continued support and encouraged them to enhance awareness of rugby’s development in rural areas, while also highlighting the importance of understanding the specific regulations set by the FSSRU.
