The President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, is heading a delegation to the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) taking place in New York.
World leaders will convene for the annual high-level General Debate, which will revolve around the theme: “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.”
President Katonivere is set to present Fiji’s national statement during the General Debate on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
In his absence, Acting Chief Justice Justice Salesi Temo will take on presidential duties.
