The President of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, is heading a delegation to the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) taking place in New York.
During this annual high-level General Debate, world leaders will convene to discuss the theme: “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.”
President Katonivere is slated to present Fiji’s national statement during the General Debate on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
In his absence, Acting Chief Justice His Lordship Justice Salesi Temo will assume his responsibilities.
