The President of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, is at the helm of a delegation attending the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) taking place in New York.
World leaders will converge for the annual high-level General Debate, which centers around the theme: “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.”
President Katonivere is set to present Fiji’s national statement during the General Debate on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
In his absence, Acting Chief Justice His Lordship Justice Salesi Temo will take on the responsibilities of the position.
