In his remarks, President Katonivere expressed deep appreciation for the reception provided to the Fijian delegation. He recognized the ongoing support that members of the diaspora extend to their families in Fiji, emphasizing the significant impact their financial assistance has on the country’s economic development.

Additionally, he extended his gratitude to Fiji’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Filipo Tarakinikini, praising his effective leadership and efforts in promoting Fiji’s interests globally.
