Today, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere of Fiji welcomed members of the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union (FSSRU) at the State House for a courtesy visit.
During the meeting, the FSSRU delegation presented a traditional sevusevu and invited the President to preside over the 85th Deans competition celebration, scheduled for tomorrow at HFC Stadium.
President Katonivere accepted the invitation with gratitude, commending the FSSRU for its dedication and perseverance in promoting rugby at the elementary and secondary education levels. He expressed his strong support for their initiatives and encouraged the members to enhance awareness of rugby development in the outer islands, highlighting the importance of understanding the FSSRU’s regulations.
