Today, Fiji’s President and Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, celebrated his 71st birthday. To commemorate this special occasion, members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) gathered at State House early in the morning to extend their warm wishes.
The celebration was led by Commander of the Fiji Navy, Humphrey Tawake, along with senior officers. It featured a ceremonial march by officers of the RFMF, accompanied by the band, which added a festive and respectful atmosphere to the event.
While the Commander of the RFMF was away on official leave, Commander Tawake conveyed birthday greetings to the Head of State, offering heartfelt congratulations.
In his remarks, President Lalabalavu expressed deep appreciation for the commitment of RFMF personnel in maintaining law and order in Fiji. He also emphasized the importance of unity among the forces and the shared responsibilities they hold for the nation.
