Additionally, Mr. Rabuka has consulted with the Parliamentary Caucus of the People’s Alliance, which has endorsed Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Na Gone Turaga Bale na Tui Cakau, as the candidate for the presidency.

“The Turaga na Tui Cakau has agreed to be nominated for the presidency,” stated Mr. Rabuka, adding that he will present Ratu Naiqama’s name under section 84(2) of the Constitution during a special parliamentary session scheduled for Thursday, October 31, 2024.
