Fiji’s Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA) is set to celebrate business excellence on Saturday, November 29, 2025. This premier event honors companies and individuals who are shaping the nation’s economic landscape, focusing on resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The annual PMIBA distinguishes businesses that demonstrate these qualities while elevating Fiji’s presence in the global economy. This year’s theme, “Navigating Global Winds – Resilience, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth,” emphasizes how Fijian enterprises are adapting to dynamic international markets. Key areas of focus include digital transformation, climate action, and inclusive economic development.
Kamal Chetty, CEO of Investment Fiji, announced that businesses from all sectors are encouraged to apply, with the deadline set for July 25, 2025. “We urge all businesses to seize this opportunity to be recognized at the highest national level,” Chetty stated, highlighting that there are 15 categories available for companies, ranging from Forestry to E-Commerce.
The awards receive robust support from sponsors including Fiji Water, BSP Financial Group, DHL Express, Westpac, and others, which Chetty notes is crucial for recognizing and empowering Fiji’s private sector.
The 2025 PMIBA aims to spotlight impactful stories of ambition and resilience, inspiring future business leaders across Fiji and the Pacific. This event fosters hope and encourages businesses to share their journeys of innovation and sustainability, highlighting the potential for economic growth that aligns with environmental stewardship.
