Fiji Powerlifting achieved remarkable success at the Oceania Regional Powerlifting Championship held in Nauru, securing a total of 19 medals. The team’s achievements include two gold medals, seven silver medals, and ten bronze medals across various weight categories, including under 74kg, under 83kg, under 93kg, under 105kg, and under 120kg.
Notable medalists from the event include Vinesh Chand, Faga Varea, Muzzammi Ali, Viliame Lagonilakeba, Kurt Wise, and Vivaan Patel, who made headlines as the youngest competitor in the competition.
In addition to their impressive medal haul, Fiji was awarded the opportunity to host the 2026 Oceania Powerlifting Championship, marking an exciting milestone for the sport in the nation.
