Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka will embark on an official visit to China starting Monday, as confirmed by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the leaders of both countries are expected to engage in comprehensive discussions regarding the relationship between China and Fiji, along with other significant matters of mutual concern.
China aims to elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership characterized by mutual respect and shared development, while also collaborating with Fiji to foster a closer community and shared future between China and Pacific Island nations.
Fiji holds the distinction of being the first Pacific Island nation to establish diplomatic relations with China. Over the past 49 years, the relationship has progressed significantly, resulting in fruitful exchanges and cooperation across various sectors, benefiting the citizens of both nations.
The visit is being made at the invitation of Premier of the State Council Li Qiang.
