Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew has instructed the Assistant Commissioner of Police for Crime to initiate preliminary investigations into the improper issuance of passports to members of the Grace Road Group. In a related development, Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua has announced his decision to temporarily step down to facilitate the inquiry. He is also awaiting guidance from the Prime Minister on this matter after informing him of his choice.
