Fiji’s only locally owned private hospital, Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH), has announced its readiness to conduct its first open-heart surgery. Parvish Kumar, the Director and CEO of PSH, made this announcement and extended his support to underprivileged individuals who cannot afford the surgery, encouraging them to reach out via email at p.kumar@psh.com.fj.
To qualify for either a fully funded procedure or a significantly subsidized rate, patients must meet specific cardiac criteria and complete necessary medical evaluations, including an angiogram. Kumar urges prospective patients to have their angiogram conducted at any medical facility and to send their reports for assessment.
Patients interested in angiogram services are also invited to contact PSH. Direct communication with Kumar is encouraged to facilitate tailored plans for cardiology services in collaboration with his cardiac team.
The operating theatre at PSH features state-of-the-art technology, receiving praise from visiting cardiologists from India for its world-class standards. The costs associated with open-heart procedures at PSH are expected to be competitively priced, similar to those in India and other countries.
PSH’s Nadi branch is strategically located on Queen’s Highway across from Nadi International Airport, while the Suva branch can be found at 107 Foster Road in Walu Bay. Cardiac services are exclusively available at the Nadi branch, while other advanced medical procedures, including neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, and orthopedics, are offered at both the Suva and Nadi locations.
PSH aims to provide the highest quality medical care coupled with the latest technological advancements, ensuring excellent surgical outcomes and quicker recovery times. “At PSH, we value your health and well-being and prioritize prompt treatment to expedite your journey to full recovery,” stated Mr. Kumar.
