An Australian Air Force plane has successfully transported officials from the Fijian government to Rotuma, an outer island of Fiji. The delegation was headed by Assistant Minister for Justice Ratu Josaia Niudamu and included representatives from multiple ministries and organizations such as the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways, Ministry of Finance, Fiji National Provident Fund, Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority, Fiji Corrections Service, and the Fiji Scouts Association.

Upon arrival, Ratu Niudamu received a warm welcome characterized by the traditional Rotuman mamasa ceremony, reflecting the island’s rich cultural heritage. During the visit, the officials conducted site inspections of key infrastructure, including the Rotuma jetty, the local police station, and the hospital, highlighting the importance of these facilities to the community.
