The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-Operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, officially launched the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Policy at Holiday Inn this morning. During the event, he highlighted that this policy is designed to establish a robust foundation for the economy and foster a promising future for all Fijians.
The ECD Policy’s primary objective is to ensure that every child in Fiji has access to adequate care, nutrition, and early learning opportunities. Additionally, it aims to safeguard children against abuse, neglect, violence, and conflict.
This initiative underscores a commitment to nurturing the next generation, which is crucial for building a resilient and thriving nation. By prioritizing early childhood development, Fiji is taking significant steps towards ensuring a healthier, safer, and more educated society for future generations.
With the launch of this policy, there is hope for a transformative impact on the lives of children across the nation, paving the way for enhanced social stability and economic growth.
