Fiji’s New Foreign Policy: What’s Next for International Relations?

Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sitiveni Rabuka announced that the Cabinet has approved Fiji’s Foreign Policy White Paper. In his statement, Rabuka highlighted that the document outlines Fiji’s foreign policy priorities across several key areas, including Sovereignty, Identity and Values; Security; Transnational Security; Climate Change; Bilateral Relationships, particularly with major powers; Prosperity; Development Assistance; and the implementation of foreign policy. The Prime Minister emphasized that a comprehensive government process was involved in developing the white paper, which will serve as a guide for Fiji’s future international engagements.
