Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sitiveni Rabuka has announced that the Cabinet has approved Fiji’s Foreign Policy White Paper. In his statement, Rabuka highlighted that the white paper outlines Fiji’s foreign policy priorities in several key areas, including sovereignty, identity and values, security, transnational security, climate change, relationships with major powers, prosperity, foreign policy development assistance, and the implementation of foreign policy. The Prime Minister emphasized that the creation of the white paper involved a comprehensive government process aimed at shaping Fiji’s international engagements in the future.
