The newly appointed CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), Ms. Jiuta, aims to maintain high standards in consumer protection, fair trading, economic sustainability, and social responsibility. Before her current role, Ms. Jiuta had extensive experience in the FCCC, having served in multiple leadership capacities including Manager of Legal, Risk Management, and Governance, as well as General Manager of Operations. Her background also includes previous work as a Resident Magistrate, allowing her to bring a wealth of legal knowledge to her new position.
This leadership transition follows the recent appointment of Cecil Browne as the chairman of the FCCC, who is also expected to enhance the organization’s focus on consumer advocacy and competition regulation.
