Marika Rodu is set to lead the Bula Boys as their head coach for the upcoming 2024 Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Ministers Cup in the Solomon Islands this week. He takes over the coaching responsibilities from Rob Sherman, who is unable to participate due to prior personal commitments.
Rodu will have the support of Timo Jankowski, the Technical Director of Fiji FA, as they prepare the team for a series of important matches. The Bula Boys are scheduled to face Vanuatu on Thursday at 2 PM, Papua New Guinea on Sunday at 5 PM, and the Solomon Islands Development team next Wednesday at 7 PM. Their final match will be against the host nation, Solomon Islands, on Saturday at 7 PM.
This change in coaching brings a fresh perspective to the Bula Boys as they aim to perform well in the tournament. With a solid support team and a lineup of competitive matches ahead, fans can remain optimistic about the team’s potential success in the cup.
