Fiji’s New Anti-Corruption Chief Under Investigation: What We Know

Barbara Malimali, a lawyer from Suva and the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). This appointment has been officially confirmed by FICAC. Additionally, it has been reported that a search warrant was executed against Malimali, leading to a search at the Electoral Commission’s Office in Suva.
