Fiji’s New Anti-Corruption Chief Under Investigation?

Barbara Malimali, a Suva lawyer and the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). The commission has officially announced this appointment. Additionally, FICAC disclosed that a search warrant was executed against Malimali, leading to a search at the Electoral Commission’s office in Suva.
