Fiji’s New Anti-Corruption Chief: A Controversial Appointment?

Suva lawyer and Electoral Commissioner Chairperson Barbara Malimali has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). FICAC has confirmed her appointment. Additionally, the commission has disclosed that a search warrant was executed against Malimali, leading to a search at the Electoral Commission’s Office in Suva.
