Fiji’s Music Festival Set to Expand: What’s Next?

Approximately 4,000 individuals gathered at the Bounty Stir It Up Music Festival 2024 held at the Vou Hub in Denarau, Nadi, last Saturday.

Given the festival’s success, Lara Khan, director of Wailoaloa Beach Club and organizer of the event, indicated that future Stir It Up Music festivals at the same venue will include multiple stages and a broader range of artists.

“Locations for major concerts abroad are often in remote places like this,” Khan remarked. “It’s time for Fiji to begin adapting, and the response so far has been promising. This venue (Vou Hub) holds significant potential.”

Khan referenced global festivals like One Love, highlighting that they typically feature several stages. “Currently, every concert in Fiji features just one stage, but we’re moving toward welcoming more artists to Fiji with multiple stages.”

While unsure if the changes will take place next year, Khan assured that an event is planned for the future and expressed optimism about its development.
