He encouraged the Melanesian Council to develop an engaging and impactful program that fosters connection and discussion on future aspirations within the community.

The seminar, hosted at the Great Council of Chiefs Talanoa Lounge in Draiba, Nasese, aims to enhance cultural inclusion and promote a unified national identity. The commemoration will culminate with a ceremony at the Suva Foreshore, which will be officiated by Fiji’s Prime Minister.

This development signifies a meaningful step towards recognizing and celebrating the rich heritage of the Melanesian population in Fiji, thereby strengthening the social fabric of the nation. It is an opportunity for healing and unity, allowing for greater acknowledgment of the diverse backgrounds that contribute to Fiji’s identity.
