Fiji’s Leadership Shines at UN Talks Ahead of Pacific Forum

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka engaged in bilateral discussions with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres yesterday, prior to the 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Meeting taking place in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. During their talks, Rabuka emphasized Fiji’s steadfast dedication to the fundamental principles of the UN Charter since becoming a member of the United Nations in 1970. He expressed Fiji’s strong belief in multilateralism as a vital tool in tackling global issues. “Our ongoing participation on the international stage reflects our resilience and the important role we play in creating a better world,” Rabuka stated. Additionally, he participated in a service at the Centenary Church with other Pacific Island Leaders, where they sought guidance and unity in facing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for their region.
