The President of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, is leading a delegation to the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) taking place in New York. World leaders are set to convene for the annual high-level General Debate, which will emphasize the theme: “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.” President Katonivere is expected to present Fiji’s national statement during the General Debate on Thursday, September 26, 2024. During his absence, Acting Chief Justice His Lordship Justice Salesi Temo will serve in his role.
