Koleta Likuculacula from Fiji received the Golden Boot award at the OFC Women’s Nations Cup, which wrapped up yesterday in the Solomon Islands.
The player from Ba scored a total of seven goals throughout the tournament, netting two goals each against the Solomon Islands and Tahiti, as well as one goal each against Tonga and New Zealand in the group stage. In the final match against New Zealand, she scored Fiji’s only goal.
Koleta proved to be a persistent threat on the field, regularly creating scoring opportunities and applying pressure on the opposing team. Her impressive performance on the first day of the tournament earned her the Player of the Match award, coinciding with her birthday.
In addition, Danielle Bradley was honored with the Golden Glove award, while the Golden Ball was awarded to Hannah Kraakman.
