Koleta Likuculacula from Fiji has been awarded the Golden Boot at the OFC Women’s Nations Cup, which wrapped up yesterday in the Solomon Islands. The athlete, hailing from Ba, scored a total of seven goals throughout the tournament. Her impressive tally included two goals each against the Solomon Islands and Tahiti, one against Tonga, and another against New Zealand during the group stage. She also netted Fiji’s sole goal in the final match against New Zealand.
Likuculacula showcased her skill on the field by consistently creating scoring opportunities and applying pressure to the opposing teams. Her remarkable performance was recognized when she received the Player of the Match award on the first day of the tournament, coinciding with her birthday, making the honor particularly special.
Other significant awards included the Golden Glove, awarded to Danielle Bradley, and the Golden Ball, which went to Hannah Kraakman.
