Kava has secured its position as Fiji’s most lucrative agricultural export in the first half of 2024, amassing an impressive revenue of $21.8 million FJD. This represents a notable increase of 20.9% compared to the same period in 2023, according to preliminary data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways.

In 2023, Fiji successfully exported 501 metric tonnes of kava worldwide, valued at approximately $38.1 million FJD.
