The Fiji Police Force reported that a swift intervention by a Police Dog Unit on patrol in Lautoka led to the arrest of a man suspected of theft. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu noted that K9 officers encountered an incident on Drasa Avenue where a woman had her mobile phone stolen. The officers promptly tracked down the 25-year-old suspect, recovering the victim’s phone in the process. ACP Driu mentioned that the suspect, who is a known offender, is currently in custody at the Lautoka Police Station as investigations are ongoing.
