Fiji’s Junior Kulas Set for Thrilling OFC Championship Opener Against Tonga!

The Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas are excited for their opening match in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship, scheduled for this Sunday at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium.

Head Coach Marika Rodu expressed confidence in the team’s preparations as they enter the final week before the tournament. “Preparation is well underway, and we’re keeping our focus. The girls are in good shape and eager to face Tonga in our first match,” he stated.

Rodu acknowledged the difficulties of a first game, particularly against a formidable opponent like Tonga, renowned for its strong defense. “The first match is always challenging, but our objective is to start strong and settle into the game quickly,” he noted.

He recognized that Tonga’s defensive play could create obstacles for Fiji in scoring but maintained a positive outlook on their game plan. “We’ve been devising strategies to penetrate their defense and secure those vital three points on Sunday,” he shared.

The match between Fiji and Tonga will kick off at 3 PM this Sunday.
