Fiji’s Junior Kulas Gear Up for Thrilling Opening Match Against Tonga!

The Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas are excited for their opening match in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship scheduled for this Sunday at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium.

As the tournament approaches, Head Coach Marika Rodu expresses confidence in the team’s preparations. “We are well into our preparation, now in the final week, and maintaining focus. The girls are in good form and looking forward to our first match against Tonga,” Rodu stated.

He acknowledged the challenges that come with a first match, particularly against a team like Tonga, recognized for its strong defense. “The first match can be difficult, but we aim to start strong and quickly adapt to the game,” he noted.

Rodu indicated that Tonga’s defensive tactics could pose a challenge for Fiji in scoring, but he remains optimistic about their game plan. “We have been developing strategies to overcome their defense and aim to secure those essential three points on Sunday,” he explained.

The match between Fiji and Tonga is set to kick off at 3 pm this Sunday.
