The Insurance Association of Fiji (IAF) has officially launched its inaugural IAF National Logo Competition, extending an invitation to primary and secondary school students from across the nation to showcase their artistic abilities for a chance to win exciting prizes. This event, launched on Tuesday, aims to create a platform for students to design a logo that captures their understanding of insurance and demonstrates their creativity.
IAF chairman Avi Raju emphasized the significance of this year’s competition, noting the inclusion of upper primary students for the first time alongside high school participants. “This extension reflects our commitment to reaching students across a wider group, encouraging them to learn about insurance while also expressing their creativity,” Raju stated.
Winning logos will be prominently featured on various media platforms and will also be displayed at the IAF Annual Awards Night on August 16, 2025, at the Grand Pacific Hotel. The top three winners from each category will receive a prize package that includes $1000 in cash, certificates, plaques, school merchandise, tech gadgets, and will be honored by Fiji’s Prime Minister during the gala event.
Students interested in participating are encouraged to submit their designs by July 17, 2025. This initiative not only offers students an exciting opportunity to engage with the topic of insurance creatively but also aligns with a broader trend in Fiji’s educational landscape that emphasizes the importance of creative expression in learning experiences.
Similar competitions in Fiji aim to enhance students’ critical thinking and creative skills, such as the National Schools Road Safety Competition, which promotes advocacy on important social issues. Engaging youth through such creative initiatives fosters responsibility and encourages them to become proactive community leaders, shaping a better future for all.
