Fiji’s Human Rights Journey: What to Expect in Geneva 2025?

Fiji’s Attorney-General Graham Leung will head the nation’s delegation to Geneva, Switzerland, for an interactive dialogue regarding Fiji’s State Report at the 48th session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group in January 2025. This follows the Cabinet’s approval for the submission of Fiji’s State Report to the UPR Working Group Secretariat. The UPR process, conducted by the UPR Working Group, involves a member state-driven review of each country’s human rights record every four to five years. Fiji was last reviewed by the UPR Working Group in November 2019, and its fourth review will occur during the upcoming session in January 2025.
