Human rights issues in Fiji are increasingly pressing and must be acknowledged. Discrimination and violence not only affect individuals but also threaten the cultural identity of the nation.
When human rights are compromised, the whole community suffers. Cultural traditions and trends can fade away when such challenges are overlooked. It is essential for all stakeholders to collaborate in tackling these issues to foster an environment of respect for everyone.
I call on the government, civil society, and citizens to place human rights at the forefront of their priorities. By doing so, we can reduce injustices and protect our cultural heritage. Together, we can build a just society for all Fijians.
