Fiji’s HOTEC 2024: A Cocktail Competition to Remember!

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) has announced a new partnership with Finest Liquor and Triple 3 as Competition Partners for the HOTEC Tradeshow 2024. Following the signing, FHTA expressed its gratitude for Finest Liquor’s involvement in the HOTEC 2024 Cocktail Competition. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of mixologists, enabling them to offer exceptional cocktail experiences to both local and international guests.

FHTA’s CEO, Fantasha Lockington, welcomed the new partners, stating that their expertise and commitment to quality beverages would significantly enrich the cocktail competitions, offering participants valuable learning experiences. Shameer Abdul, the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Finest Liquor and Triple 3, expressed their honor in contributing to the hospitality sector’s growth in Fiji.

“Our goal is to assist mixologists in perfecting their skills while highlighting the premium liqueurs, syrups, and bitters provided by Finest Liquor and the innovative drinks from Triple 3,” Mr. Abdul noted. He looks forward to an exciting and interactive competition.

The cocktail competition at HOTEC 2024 is set to be a prominent feature, with preliminary rounds beginning in late July. This will give mixologists from across the nation the opportunity to compete, learn, and refine their skills, culminating in the grand finals at the HOTEC Tradeshow, as stated by FHTA.

“We are dedicated to creating a platform for excellence and education at HOTEC 2024. With the support of Finest Liquor and Triple 3, we are confident that our competitions will elevate the standards in our industry, benefiting not only the participants but the broader community,” Ms. Lockington commented.

She also acknowledged the ongoing support from its Platinum Sponsor, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission & Trade and Investment Queensland, along with its Gold Sponsor, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise. The event’s competition partners include Australia Pacific Training Coalition, South Pacific Coffee Company, and Fiji Gas.

Additionally, FHTA recognized the contributions of its event partners, including The Fiji Times, Decked Out Apparel, Fiji Water, Microhire, Fiji Airways, Sharma Music, and Total Event Company.
