Residents of Matakitu Estate in Dreketi, Fiji, have recently celebrated a groundbreaking achievement as they gain access to clean water directly from taps in their homes for the first time in a century. This historic development was officially inaugurated by the Minister for Rural, Maritime Development, and Disaster Management, Sakiasi Ditoka.
The successful project was made possible through government support, which involved the installation of water pipes that connect the local water catchment from Nabavatu village to the estate.
