Fiji has officially secured the opportunity to host the 2026 Pacific Islands News Association (PINA) Summit.
The announcement was made during a recent PINA Board meeting, where Stanley Simpson, the General Secretary of the Fiji Media Association, provided insights into the Association’s plans for the significant event.
Simpson disclosed that the Summit will take place in Savusavu, which he described as a hidden paradise within Fiji. He emphasized that Savusavu will provide a distinctive backdrop for this regional media gathering.
In his address, Simpson highlighted the Association’s commitment to ushering in a new era for media in Fiji and demonstrating to the world that Fiji is making a comeback. He stressed their efforts towards establishing a fully free media environment.
