Fiji’s Heavyweight Showdown: Will ‘The Beast’ Reign Supreme Again?

Fiji’s heavyweight boxing champion James ‘The Beast’ Singh is set to defend his title against Semi Dauloloma at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Saturday, August 31. Singh expressed confidence in his preparation and readiness to enter the ring for the title defense, as reported by the Fiji Sports Council (FSC) Media.

Dauloloma is also looking to recreate his success from June, when he defeated Singh in the second round to win the Leweni Waqa Memorial belt. Both fighters have one victory each, making this bout the deciding match.

Samir Khan, promoter for Bluewater Boxing Promotions, stated that he is prepared to help the winner enhance their world rankings by matching them with top international contenders.

The main event features local fighter Junior Binnu Singh battling Krishnil Mudaliar for the WBF (World Boxing Foundation) Australasian featherweight title. Mudaliar confirmed earlier this week that he has successfully met the 57-kilogram weight limit and plans to maintain his weight until fight day.

Additionally, veteran boxer Savenaca Naliva will face Sikeli Senidoko in a cruiserweight match, while Ronald Naidu is set to take on Rakuro Dauvavana in another intriguing contest.
