Fiji’s only locally owned private hospital, Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH), is set to conduct its inaugural open heart surgery. This announcement was made by PSH’s Director and Chief Executive Officer, Parvish Kumar, who is also extending his support to individuals who are underprivileged and unable to afford such major surgeries. To qualify for either a fully subsidized procedure or a significantly reduced rate, patients must meet specific criteria, including certain cardiac health requirements. Kumar highlighted that interested patients should complete their angiograms and any other necessary medical evaluations before contacting him.
Patients can undergo their angiograms at any medical facility but must forward their reports for assessment via email, along with all relevant medical records. For those needing angiogram services, assistance is also available.
Kumar stressed the importance of direct communication with him to arrange specialized services in cardiology, in partnership with his cardiac team.
PSH’s operating theatre is equipped with cutting-edge technology and has received accolades from visiting cardiologists from India, describing it as world-class. The costs for open heart surgeries at PSH are expected to be comparable to those in India and other regions.
The Nadi branch of PSH is located on Queen’s Highway, directly across from Nadi International Airport, while the Suva branch is situated at 107 Foster Road in Walu Bay, Suva. Cardiac services are exclusively offered at the Nadi branch.
