Residents impacted by recent floods in the Nawaka area received much-needed hot meals today, courtesy of compassionate individuals who stepped in to lend a helping hand.

Jese Bale shared her thoughts on social media, emphasizing the importance of supporting those in need during difficult times. She urged others in Fiji to shift their focus from trivial matters to addressing the needs of fellow citizens who are suffering and require basic essentials.

“While the rest of Fiji is worried about other people’s personal lives on social media, we the empathetic people are more concerned about helping our fellow citizens during this time of crisis,” she remarked. She also called for a change in attitude, encouraging everyone to be proactive and contribute positively to their communities.

Mr. Bale and his 10-year-old son, Semisi Naevo, participated in distributing the meals, embodying the spirit of community support.

This heartwarming act of kindness highlights the resilience and compassion present in the Fijian community during challenging times. It serves as a reminder that even in hardship, collective efforts can foster hope and provide comfort to those in need.

Overall, the commitment to helping others reflects the strength of community bonds and the importance of empathy in times of crisis.
