Golfers from across Fiji are gearing up for the Naviti Open Pro-Am this Saturday at the Naviti Resort Golf Course located on the scenic Coral Coast. This exciting event, organized in collaboration with Golf Fiji, promises a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and enjoyment.

The entry fee for this tournament is set at $100 per player, which encompasses not only a day of golf but also the chance to win various prizes and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. Participants will be categorized into A, B, and C grades, competing for first, second, and third place Net prizes, with special awards for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.

Amitesh Chandra, the president of Golf Fiji, has encouraged players to submit their entry forms promptly, as the tournament has a limited capacity of 70 spots available. “We are thrilled to partner with Naviti Resort for this year’s Open Pro-Am. It’s an excellent opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to come together, showcase their abilities, and enjoy a fantastic day,” he stated.

Registration for the event opens at 10 AM, leading up to a shotgun start at 10:30 AM. As the tournament draws near, players are reminded that entries will close on Wednesday, and late registrations will only be accepted if spots remain.

The Naviti Open Pro-Am is supported by several local businesses, including Crest Chicken, Vision Commercial Division, Punjas, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, and Tappoo, highlighting the community’s backing for local sporting events.

Events like this not only promote the sport of golf in Fiji but also foster community spirit, providing players with a platform to connect and enhance their golfing skills. The anticipation surrounding the tournament reflects the vibrant golfing community in Fiji and sets a positive tone for future sporting events in the region.
