The annual East vs West golf tournament kicked off yesterday at the FSC Ba Golf Club, attracting an impressive turnout of 64 competitors. Hosted by Golf Fiji, this one-day event featured players competing across various divisions, including A, B, and C grades, along with categories for ladies and juniors.
Avinesh Datt, vice president of Golf Fiji, expressed enthusiasm about the event, praising the participants for their efforts and commending the optimal condition of the golf course. “We had a good turnout from both the East and West. The course was in great condition and the weather was perfect for play,” Datt stated. He noted the encouraging participation of junior players, emphasizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of golfers.
