Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Fiji next year, celebrating what he described as a ‘golden milestone relationship’ with China. During their meeting in Beijing, Rabuka emphasized the significance of the 49-year relationship between the two nations. He pointed out that the partnership has remained strong throughout the years. In response, President Xi noted that China and Fiji serve as examples of equitable cooperation between large and small nations. He also expressed a desire to establish a China-Fiji community aimed at fostering a shared future. Notably, the two leaders previously met in San Francisco last November.
