India’s President Droupadi Murmu has praised Fiji for its increasing contributions to global initiatives aimed at combating climate change and resolving human conflicts. In her address to Parliament, President Murmu emphasized Fiji’s significant role in global discussions on climate change and its advocacy for Ocean-States.
She expressed that India highly values and recognizes Fiji’s growing influence on the world stage. President Murmu noted the strong bond between India and Fiji, despite their geographical distance.
She pointed out the strengthening cooperation between the two nations in various sectors, including agriculture, capacity building, climate change, clean energy, digital partnerships, education, healthcare, manufacturing, research, renewable energy, and the SME sector.
President Murmu reaffirmed India’s commitment to support Fiji in building a more resilient and prosperous nation, aiming to maximize the benefits of their partnership for the welfare of both nations’ citizens.
