Prashantika Prasad, a 22-year-old aspiring fashion model and fourth-year MBBS student at the University of Fiji in Lautoka, is set to compete for the Miss Fiji Universe 2024 title in Mexico later this year. With her sights set on this prestigious pageant, Prasad aims to boost her confidence and embrace the opportunities that come her way.
Prasad is passionate about her message of self-confidence and seizing opportunities, especially those that may seem daunting yet contribute to personal growth. She said, “While they’re up for grabs, spontaneous things are the scariest, but they help in your growth the most.”
With aspirations to promote education and support for individuals facing mental health challenges and substance abuse, Prasad hopes to contribute to creating a more resilient and empowering society for the youth. She is committed to her education and aims to become a healthcare provider upon graduation.
Reflecting on her journey, Prasad expressed admiration for fellow contestants who bravely take on such significant platforms, emphasizing the importance of female unity and collaboration among participants.
Prior to this, Prasad served as the deputy head girl at Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College in Nadi and showcased her musical talent by singing lead in the school’s official music video, “My School.” As a member of the University of Fiji musical band, she enjoys singing and also has a passion for tennis and community service during medical camps.
